But you're right - much like tax returns, people often think of this as money being given to them by the government, instead of returned. The government is giving you back <strong>your</strong> money. It amazes me how many people in my office believe that this is some sort of gift from Uncle Sam. If you don't want your share, I'll gladly take it. And as President Bush said in his State of the Union Address "I am pleased to report that the IRS accepts both checks and money orders."
