Zecco: Favorable initial impressions

On the heels of the news that Zecco now offers not only zero commission but zero minimum balance trades, I signed up for an account. Overall, it was a very smooth process.

On June 6th, I visited the site and went through the account setup process. It was all straightforward, and asked the standard questions. All in all it took around five minutes. Once I sent in my application, which I was able to sign electronically, I got a message just ten minutes later that I was approved.

After signing in, I immediately went to the funding option and added my bank account. Though this only took a minute, I was a bit confused and had to consult the help as to how to actually add a new account. This was my first experience with the lack of intuitiveness that exists in some of Zecco’s interface.

Still, in this case I only care about the functionality. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised to see Zecco’s two test transactions in my bank account the next morning, less than 12 hours later! I signed in again, put in these values, and am now ready to transfer some funds in.

Overall, I found the experience quite painless and look forward to making my first trade.
